At Little Swimmers we value the investment you’re making in your child. Swimming not only contributes to your child’s overall health, but also builds their strength and confidence in themselves. By learning to swim and acquiring different strokes, your child will be motivated to apply themselves not only during swim lessons, but also in other areas of their life.
30 Minute Swimming lessons
Our most popular format by far is our 30-minute semi-private swimming lessons. Each swimmer is paired with a swim buddy of same aquatic level and approximate age, and are taught side by side, alternating exercises with the swim buddy. We feel that allowing our swimmers to learn by watching and doing each component of swimming enhances their weekly progress. Lessons are priced at $120 for 4 weeks (1 lesson per week). This equals a rate of $30 a lesson, or $1 per minute, which also is highly competitive with other schools in the area.
We find that not only is the 30-minute format highly appropriate for our younger swimmers, not yet accustomed to following a swimming lesson format, maybe still having a hard time staying focused for longer time-periods, and for the new swimmer who might still have fears of the water, blowing bubbles or putting their head under.
Because of the focus on the individual swimmer and the few number of swimmers in each lesson, even our older swimmers, maybe focusing on stroke technique, can have a hard time swimming longer than 30 minutes at a time.
Hour-long Semi-Private Swimming Lessons
Our hour-long semi-private swimming lessons are priced at $200 for 4 weeks (1 lesson per week). The hour-long lessons are only offered to our level 8 swimmers working on specific technique, at designated times during the week. There are up to 4 swimmers in each hour-long lesson.
Class Size & Swim Partners
Our commitment to the quality of swimming lessons and your child’s learning curve means that we will never have more than 2 students per class! In addition, there are never more than 3 lessons in the big pool and 1 lesson in the little pool at any time.
A swim buddy is beneficial in many ways, but we also don’t want to jeopardize the quality of the swimming lesson for the individual child. We feel that having only 2 swimmers per lesson enables the joy of learning through watching and doing exercises with peers, as well as the friendly competition learning with a buddy can produce, while still keeping a thorough focus on the individual swimmer.
All our swim buddies are matched through careful evaluation of skills, personalities and age during our free assessment when registering!
Private Swimming Lessons
If you feel strongly about keeping your child’s swimming lessons private, or your child has needs requiring special attention, we also offer 30-minute private swimming lessons at $200 for 4 weeks (1 lesson per week).
At Little Swimmers we are always flexible with scheduling and you’re able to switch between formats between lesson cycles as your little swimmer progresses.
Parent & Me Swimming Classes
We also offer Parent & Me Swimming Classes at Little Swimmers priced at $100 per month for 4 classes (1 lesson per week). Our Parent & Me Swimming classes are a great opportunity for you to introduce your baby to the water, while improving and strengthening their gross motor skills. And, it is also a great opportunity to bond with your child. We do follow a set format in each lesson and will practice basic components of swimming – blowing bubbles, kicking, digging and submerging – through songs and adjusted to your swimmer’s capabilities.
Transition Swimming Classes
Our Transition class format is designed to work as a bridge between Parent & Me classes and our Semi-Private lessons (starting at approximately 2 years old), since some of our toddler swimmers are getting too experienced for the Parent & Me format, but not quite ready to be in the pool without a parent, usually around 16 months. In the class, which is a semi-private class with two swimmers in the pool, your little swimmer will do more of the exercises with the instructor while you’re in the pool for comfort and support, and as (s)he becomes more comfortable, you will gradually move out of the pool. Transition classes are priced at $100 for 4 classes (1 lesson per week) and not eligible for the Moms’ group discount.
We are proud to offer a Moms’ group discount if you’re a paid member of HHHints. We extend the discount if you join any of our ongoing Parent & Me classes, but only as long as your membership with HHHints is current. Please provide confirmation of paid membership with your registration.
Classes are priced at $85 for 4 classes (1 lesson per week) per baby.
