At Little Swimmers we believe that your child will receive a higher quality lesson if the individual levels of accomplishment are clearly defined. It is important for swimmers to get tangible proof of their progress in the water. Each level has a list of skill that need to be completed before moving on to the next level.
Swimmers are placed in our “Bubbler” or beginner level to get a solid swim foundation and then move on through our level system, Levels 1 through 8.
Skills Sheets:
Every swimmer enrolled in our program has their own personal skill sheet that tracks their progress through each level. Skill sheets are picked up from our reception desk before each class and instructors work with their swimmers to complete each skill necessary to advance. Skills are checked off as they are mastered and shared with both the swimmers and parents each week. This provides a very clear picture of progress and what skills are still needed to complete each level.
Ribbons:
When a level is completed and all skills are marked off the swimmer graduates to the next level! We celebrate this milestone with a level specific ribbon and swimmers select a prize from our prize bucket! The next week swimmers return to find a new skill sheet ready reflecting their new swim level.
Super Swimmer Awards:
To keep our swimmers excited about their progress and celebrate milestone achievements while still working on a level, we have super swimmer awards that instructors can give out at any time. These little fish shaped awards help us celebrate small achievements while still working towards level completion.
